Radio Frequency
This is one of the best known treatments for skin tightening. Radio Frequency tightens and smoothes areas of loose and ageing skin.
Treatment Overview
Radio frequency (RF) is mostly used to treat cellulite appearance. RF technology selectively increases the temperature of fat cells. This in turn stimulates collagen production and increases the metabolism as well as release of liquid fat from fat cells. After treatment the fat cells shrink in size and skin is restored closer to its original form, reducing, or eliminating the cellulite appearance.

-
How does it work? The muscles that cause wrinkles to develop have to be reviewed. This is to figure out where the injections are to go. The injection sites also have to be fully cleaned off. Cleansing pads with alcohol may be used to numb the areas and clear off dirt and oils. This will allow the fine needle for the injection to move quickly into the skin.
-
What are the results? The results that come from using Botox are rather beneficial. The face will start to look smoother and will not form wrinkles as greatly as it normally would. This is all done without impacting any other muscles. The effects of Botox will come about in around 48 hours after an injection. It can take five to ten days for the full effects to be visible.
-
Important concerns1. The results that come with using Botox only last for a brief period of time. They can last for about three to six months on average. Another Botox treatment would be required after that. 2. Static wrinkles cannot be treated with Botox. 3. People who have muscle or neurological diseases should not use Botox. 4. Women who are pregnant or nursing should not use Botox. 5. Botox is not going to eliminate wrinkles altogether. It is only to be used as a temporary solution for managing the problem.
-
What about side effects?Botox has been heralded for being very easy for a typical person to handle. It will not produce any dangerous effects on the body. It may cause some irritation in the injection site and some redness there but that would be very minimal. It would only be there for a few hours in most cases. The patient can get back to one’s regular life almost immediately after an injection. There is always the potential for a person to develop an allergic reaction to Botox. That risk is still very minimal when compared with what is found in many other products.

-
What are the threads made of?The Facial Threads are made of polydioxanone (PDO), a material long used for suture threads in cardiac surgery, general surgery and vascular surgery. It’s a completely safe medical device, completely re-absorbable and hypoallergenic.

-
Are Chemical Peels safe? Our peels are completely safe.
-
Is it painful? No, although you may experience a slight tingly and warm sensation.
-
Can the treatment be done in summer?Chemical Peels can be done in any season.
-
Can the needles go deeper than required? In some cases, you can get the needles from a Dermapen or Dermaroller to go deeper into your skin. This is particularly for cases where you have a deep scar or mark. Your therapist will analyse how deep the needles should go to ensure that the issue is treated clearly. Fortunately, the needles are short enough to where they will not go deep to where bleeding could be a concern.
-
How will my body respond?Since treatment process will entail micro-injuries to the treated area it might cause inflammation and bruising. Fortunately, those issues temporarily and will disappear within 24-48 hours. Skin rejuvenation will reach its peak about ten to fourteen days after the treatment. At which point you will be able to see the final result.
-
Dermapen or Dermaroller? Both Dermapen and Dermaroller cause micro-injuries to the epidermis, which signals the body to produce collagen to remodel the damaged area, which in effect rejuvenates the skin. Dermapen can easily treat those hard to reach areas such as around the eyes, nose and upper lip whereas it is more difficult to reach these areas with traditional Dermaroller.
-
Why do I need multiple treatments? You will require multiple treatments in most cases. Elyse recommends course of 3-5 for the best results. Typically, you would need to leave about two to four weeks in between Dermapen and Dermaroller treatments to allow your body to recover. Additional recovery time is needed if you have deep scars. You will need treatments every four to six weeks in such a case.
-
What happens during treatment? The treatment takes around 30-45 minutes to administer depending on the area(s) of the body being treated by using thin, flexible cannulas. The procedure is virtually pain free as Aqualyx contains a local anaesthetic and as fat tissue is almost free of sensation.
-
What to expect after the treatment?Directly after treatment, the treated area can be swollen which may last a few days. Mild redness, and sometimes slight bleeding or bruising at the injection site can also occur however these temporary side effects quickly subside. You can take anti-inflammatory medication to relieve any discomfort and swelling (i.e. Paracetamol). Ice cooling will also reduce side effects after the treatment. In rare cases, serious side effects such as difficulty swallowing or nerve damage to the jaw area may occur during the treatment of the double-chin, which may lead to a temporarily uneven smile, loss of sensation or weakness of the facial muscles. These complaints usually do not require special treatment and resolve spontaneously.
-
Who is suitable for Aqualyx treatment? The best results can be obtained in patients with an average body weight or slightly overweight with local accumulation of fat. The treatment is not suitable to treat obesity.
-
Which areas of my body can be treated? You can treat the chin, stomach, outer and inner thighs, hips and knees with the Aqualyx treatment.
-
How many treatments are required? The number of Aqualyx treatments varies depending on the size of the fatty deposit. 1-3 sessions are recommended for small areas, such as the jowls and under the chin, 2-8 sessions for larger areas such as arms or thighs. 3-4 weekly intervals are required for repeat treatments.

-

-
How can lash extensions be removed? Please do not try to remove lash extensions yourself. You will end up pulling out your natural lashes if you pick or pull on the extensions. We apply a special gel on to the extensions, that is made to weaken the bond of the glue. No damage is done to your natural lashes.

Step Two: Donor SiteA donor site is identified, usually where hair follicles are at their healthiest and where the hair is dense enough to allow for removal.
-
Step Four: AftercareYour surgeon will talk you through how best to support your own recovery – however, in most cases patients who undergo FUE hair transplant surgery are able to resume normal activity almost instantly.
-
Step Three: The SurgeryThe extraction is performed via local anaesthesia for optimum comfort. Your surgeon or practitioner will use a micro-surgical extraction instrument for high level precision to remove the grafts, and then use a micro-surgical needle to puncture the area receiving the donated graft. Care will be taken to ensure that the implanted hairs will all grow in the same, natural direction – usually at a 40-45 degree angle.
-
Step One: ConsultationThe consultation will allow you to talk through your concerns and ideal results and will give our team an idea of what we are hoping to achieve. Whether or not you are already decided on your treatment type, we can also use this stage of the process to discuss the benefits of different hair transplant treatments, and which is right for you.
-
What is FUE hair transplant?FUE hair transplant works through the extraction of hair follicles from a dedicated donor site in the form of small grafts. These grafts are then implanted into the receiver site, using high level precision and care to ensure that the growth of hair is natural, and that the inclusion of transplanted follicles is virtually invisible.
-
What results can I expect from FUE hair transplant?Over time, the growth of transplanted hair follicles will restore a natural density and volume to your hair. By using your own hair follicles sourced from a healthy site of natural growth, FUE hair transplant ensures that the integration of transplanted hair is seamless.
-

-
